 Alison Coath

Alison gained a degree in ceramics from Bath Academy of Art. Her subsidiary subject was etching and she returned to experiment with printmaking, combining monotypes with stenciling and other techniques. She uses her own photographs, observational drawings and found objects as starting points for the work which often evolves into completely abstract imagery.

Alison: “I like working experimentally with materials and processes and harnessing the chance results to help develop my ideas”.
