 Hannah Rumsey

Hannah has just completed her masters in textiles at Edinburgh College of Art, where she specialised in the use of natural dyes for medicinal purposes and in the creation of toxin-free textiles. This project was awarded a first place Postgraduate prize for use of colour by the Worshipful Company of Dyers.

Hannah's work is greatly focused around craft and traditional skills such as screen-printing, hand-spinning, knitting, natural dyeing and weaving. Having completed a degree in textiles at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, Hannah has learnt the fundamental skills of both printing and weaving. During Hannah's final year at UCA, her project reached the UK final of the SDC Colour Competition, 2016.

Although her work predominantly focuses on handicraft, Hannah completes some of her hand drawn and hand painted designs in digital format.
