With a background in Molecular Biology from Manchester University and a career in IT, Marta Dyer-Smith’s path to becoming a mixed media printmaker and YouTuber was anything but conventional. Now working from her studio in Suffolk, Marta combines printmaking with painting, continually exploring new techniques and materials to share with fellow artists worldwide.

Her work is inspired by abstract landscapes, drawing from her experiences living in Poland and Portugal, both of which have deeply influenced her approach to texture, colour, and composition. As a member of 12PM (Twelve Printmakers), Marta values the opportunity to engage with the art community in person as well as online.

In 2024, Marta ran printmaking demonstrations during the Suffolk Open Studios weekends in Mill Tye Gallery’s first-floor Art Studio, offering visitors an insight into her creative process. Now a regular exhibitor at Mill Tye, she is a featured artist in our Spring Printworks Exhibition 2025.
